I engaged Candy for my 3 yr old girl when I saw that she teaches special needs children. It took us a while to tango with my little girl and Candy is able to adapt to what appeals to my girl very quickly. She also knows when to be stern and how to get her going.
She is very positive and believes in her students, that they can do it. That sheer determination and self belief rubs off my child. Despite staying far, Candy is always on time and informs me in advance if she has to miss a lesson. She will also update me every lesson of my child's progress. Her sense of responsibility and accountabilty is remarkable.

Ms Candy has been with DS School as a CCA instructor from 4th July 2013 to present. She is a dedicated teacher who is also caring towards the students. She has been able to establish good rapport with the students in this relatively short time.
As a Ukulele CCA instructor, she is currently training Year 1 to Year 3 students with Mild Intellectual Disability (MID) on how to play the Ukulele during the school’s CCA sessions
Ms Candy possesses many good qualities. She manages the students in her CCA tactfully and also works hard to break down what they need to learn in a simple and structured manner. Therefore, students find it easy to learn what they are being taught.
She is open to learning and takes into account the feedback given by students and parents positively. She has been noted to observe the students behavior and reflect on her own teaching practices to modify lessons or choice of songs to suit the student needs and ability levels.
She actively collaborates with some of the parents who also attend the Ukulele training session to guide the parents to teach their children.
Currently, Ms Candy is training the Ukulele CCA students for our Graduation Day 2013.
